Emotion Regulation Part 1
Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 06:30pm - 08:30pm
Hits : 976
Contact 434-295-7273

This group is for women who are survivors and struggle with overwhelming emotions, self destructive behaviors, or difficulties in their relationships. We will be reviewing one of the modules of Dialectical Behavior Training (DBT) over 9 weeks. We will focus on four aims: understanding and naming emotions, changing unwanted emotions, reducing vulnerability to overwhelming emotions and managing extreme emotions. Work sheets and materials will be provided. This will be a focused time of learning and practicing new skills. Those who wish to join can call 434-295-7273. New members will be contacted by group leaders and will take part in a pre-group intake and orientation. Those who wish to take part of this opportunity should also be participating in individual therapy outside of the group.
